Kitchen renovation – family friendly

Located in a large kitchen/living/family room, it was important the design of the new space reflect the atmosphere of the home while allowing for busy times such as mornings before school and work, and evening meals. A large, rectangular island helps create a soft border between the kitchen and the adjoining spaces, while keeping elements of the kitchen easily accessible. Work zones have been carefully considered with the main cooking space at the rear and the sink on the island. Storage space has also been maximised with bookshelves utilising the often-hard-to-use space above the refrigerator.
